July already?!

Wow, it is already July. The students have been off campus for a month, Maggie had her birthday, and her party, my birthday is on Monday (hint, hint), and we leave for SIC in just 10 days. The summer is already 1/3 flying by and it is hard to believe.

The nexy Tyra?

Maggie had her first professional modeling photo shoot this morning. We got a call about a week ago that Maggie was picked by the reps for a company called Safety 1st for their upcoming high chair shoot. Of course we were thrilled and this morning Margo took her up to Salem, MA for the shoot. There wwere at least 2 other girls called in for the shoot, but we heard from one of the adult models and Maggie's make-up lady (how funny is that!) that "Maggie is the best one so far". They can't tell us who they finaly pick, but in 5-6 months we will be scouring all of the Sears, K-Mart and Burlington Coat Factory stores in New England looking for the display. The shoot took place in a mock kitchen with a "mother" model and "father" model. They even fed Maggie real food (Cheerios and cheese cubes), Margo told me that everyone eas laughing at Maggie and her expressions and the amount of food she ate. Every few minutes someone would shout "More cheese and Cheerios!" and they would sprinkle some on the tray and she would gobble it up. By the end of the shoot her new nickname was "Garbage Disposal". Not flattering, so I am hoping it won't stick.

We didn't get any pictures from the shoot, but here are some recent ones:

Maggie's cousin Victoria had her own birthday party this past weekeend. It was held at a My Gym, and MAggie had a great time:
In the ball pit...

We couldn't get her out, and as she wiggled, she slipped further into the pit...

Jumping on the trampoline...

Anf atfter the cake, she took a wild trip on the zip line in the space ship! (It was really a dolphin, but they called it a space ship) On the first run she was scared and cried a little...

While on her second trip she was laughing and kicking and didn't want to get out.

So it has been a busy week for Maggie and us and it is only Wednesday. Tomorrow night we are heading to Tammy and Ed's to watch the fireworks, then Friday is the annual Imbornone Fourth of July "Party by the Pool". The grill will be hot, the beer will be cold and Ed has promised me he will look for, find, clean off, and finally bring his Bocce "A-Game". We got next!
AND FINALLY, AS WE NEAR THE ALL-STAR BREAK IN BASEBALL, I THOUGHT WE COULD TAKE A LOOK BACK TO -SEPTEMBER 2007-

So it is with that picture I say Good Night. We are all very excited for the upcoming vacation and can't wait to see the Becklets and all of Maggie's cousins, to take Maggie to the beach and the boardwalk and to just hang out and relax. Which reminds me, who is bringing the Yuengling??
ONE LAST THOUGHT:
Sorry for the last minute addition, but I know the Allentown area McKendry's read the blog sometimes and MArgo and I are wondering where Anna is going to college? If it is in Massachusettswe have some dates we would like to run by her for dinner...um did I mention it is in exchange for babysitting service? If she chose outside the state, then the sitting-for-dinner exchange idea is valid to any visitors. Thanks.
Take Care everyone, and happy Fourth of July!!

I'll come up and babysit. Then I'll have mom pay for your dinner (just to make sure you leave) The baby sitting is a piece of cake. Boy, do I have experience!!
